EU migrant workers are key players in Scotland's food and farming economy
UK IMMIGRATION policy has undergone the biggest change in decades – and the overseas workers that underpin Scotland's food and farming economy are massively affected by the upheaval.
To ensure farming businesses are aware of how the new regime will impact upon them and their workers, key organisations are joining forces to host a webinar tomorrow (May 25) to detail and explain the changes.
The webinar, running from 7pm til 8.30pm, hosted by NFU Scotland and supported by Shepherd and Wedderburn and Citizens Advice Scotland, will examine the options available, employer and worker responsibilities, and the practical steps that need to be taken to avoid potential problems. The simple message is – if you employ or are thinking about employing a migrant worker on a permanent basis, this webinar is for you.
