Transparency International, the international anti-corruption agency, today released its 2020 corruption rankings of 180 countries around the world. The analysis covers corruption in the public sector and is built on the compiled opinions of experts and key economic players.
The report is called the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) and ranks Iceland the 17th least corrupt country. Iceland’s ranking has dropped over recent years and it is considered the most corrupt of the five Nordic nations.
To be considered free of corruption, a country needs to score 100, which no country managed.
