I-89 lane shift for roadwork
Lanes will shift in Interstate-89 over the next six weeks just north of Exit 4 as the South Road Bridge over the highway is painted.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will begin daytime and nighttime operations on Wednesday, July 14. Daytime work will cause lane shifts on I-89 northbound, and nighttime work will cause lane shifts on I-89 southbound.
Message boards will be in use to inform and direct motorists. Weather permitting the work will be completed in six weeks.
Traffic on South Road will be reduced to one lane of alternating two-way traffic, maintained 24/7 with temporary traffic signals.
