In part one of our interview with Kruusenberg, published last week on H2 View, we discussed the impact the new hydrogen cabinets could have on the hydrogen economy. In part two, Kruusenberg details the current Estonian hydrogen climate, its big projects and what hydrogen could mean for the nation.
We understand a proposal was made to the Estonian government back in October 2020 for the development of a national hydrogen strategy. Do you know where these plans for the hydrogen strategy are currently at? And why is it important for Estonia?
Ivar Kruusenberg (IK): It started with hydrogen research that is kind of a base document to continue with the strategy. This is the first research which is massive – it’s more than three hundred pages. This should be finalised by mid-May this year.
