Hurricane Franklin becomes the first major hurricane of the 2023 season

As of the Sunday 11 p.m. update, Franklin continues to show signs of further strengthening with sustained winds of 105 mph. By Tuesday, Franklin could pick wind speeds up to 130 mph by Tuesday morning making it a Category 4 storm.
