Huntsville Land Trust backs away from controversial nature center site

The Land Trust of North Alabama still wants to build a nature discovery center, but it is giving up on a Monte Sano mountain site it concedes was “passionately opposed” by some local residents. “We are currently evaluating several possible locations in lieu of the original proposed site and are no longer considering the Tollgate Road location,” land trust leaders told members today.
