Hundreds get COVID-19 vaccine at clinic in Gig Harbor

GIG HARBOR, Wash. – Several hundred people received their first dose of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday in Gig Harbor at a drive thru vaccination clinic set up by the county.
The clinic was done in partnership with the Tacoma Pierce County Department of Health, MultiCare Health, and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.
Those who got a spot at the clinic registered on the health department’s website. Edie Jeffers, communications manager with the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department, says the clinic planned on administering 700 doses Saturday.
