Humpback whale found in Casco Bay likely died from accidental drowning linked to tangled fishing gear

The whale, known as Chunk, was hauled from Casco Bay into the Portland Harbor on June 6 with fishing gear wrapped around its tail. The source of the fishing gear has not yet been announced.
