In a display of community solidarity, over 150 dogs have found temporary foster homes following a U-Haul accident, on March 27, 2024, at the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association in West Virginia. Despite the setback, 30 dogs have already been permanently adopted. The shelter, although damaged, remains operational thanks to the quick response of emergency services, the work of staff and volunteers, and the outpouring of public support.
