Human Remains Found on Christmas Eve in Plainfield; Death Under Investigation

PLAINFIELD, NJ — A suspicious death that took place in Plainfield on Christmas Eve is under active investigation, acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Plainfield Police Director Lisa Burgess jointly announced Tuesday.
Shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 24, officers from the Plainfield Police Division responded to a call reporting human remains near the 800 block of W Front Street in Plainfield.
Upon discovery of human remains at the scene, the Union County Homicide Task Force, Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, and Plainfield Police Division began an investigation into the incident.
