At SNEC Shanghai, Peng Jianhua, President of Site Power Facility, Huawei Digital Power Technologies Co., Ltd., released the full series of comprehensive off-grid fuel removal power solution iPowerCube to the global audience. Serving as an inclusive power supply in all scenarios, the solutions provide cost-effective, green, and reliable power for people's livelihood and industrial production in off-grid and unreliable grid areas, helping bridge the energy divide.
Mr. Peng said electricity supplies are unbalanced around the world. Currently, about 800 million people are living in mountainous areas, islands, deserts, and other regions that have no access to grid power. In these regions, a huge number of diesel generators (D.G.s) are used for power generation. There are more than 50 million D.G.s worldwide. D.G. cost is several times higher than that of the grid power, and D.G.s are highly polluting. 1 kg diesel fuel will generate 3.18 kg carbon emissions. In addition, D.G.s are costly, difficult to maintain, and noisy, which seriously affects the normal life of residents and restricts the local economic development. With advances in technologies, the cost of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage decreases. Replacing D.G.s with solar energy to achieve low-cost and green inclusive power supply becomes a reality.
