Global banking giant HSBC is reducing its office space in Sydney by 30 per cent before the end of 2022, in line with a recent global strategy to cut back its real estate footprint and shift to a hybrid working model.
It follows a push by staff who have embraced the flexible working practice adopted during the 2020 global pandemic. HSBC has four floors in Barangaroo and will release one back, and in Parramatta it will go from four floors to two.
