SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Before the opening draw of Monday night’s non-league high school lacrosse game between Saratoga Springs and Jamesville-Dewitt, players from both sides lined up across from their opponent, but side-by-side with each other, and threw exactly 47 passes, back and forth, back and forth. Forty-seven was for the number of children each day, on average, who are diagnosed with cancer.
