housands of people have joined a Facebook page promising to stand on their doorsteps and ring a bell for two minutes on Christmas Eve.
The campaign, organised by Mary Beggs-Reid from Harrogate, North Yorkshire, was created to help battle loneliness and bring communities together after a difficult year.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancee Carrie Symonds are backing the plan to ring bells at 6pm.

Much like Clap For Carers earlier this year, all you need to do to join the campaign is to stand on your doorstep at 6pm on Christmas Eve and ring a bell.
