North Jersey residents who spent all day Monday being buried by snow woke up Tuesday to more of the same, but with some relief in sight.

The worst is out of the way
Snow remains in the forecast for most of Tuesday, although widespread precipitation and accumulation are not likely. Snowfall will trail off in most of Northern New Jersey but will most likely drop less than an inch, opposed to the 20 or more inches the day before, according to Matt Wunsch, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. The snow will likely come in scattered snow showers, he said.
