How is U.S.-Mexico Border travel restrictions affecting business?

The Imperial Beach Mayor says issues at the border are "not a priority for the Biden Administration."

IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. — City leaders in the South Bay are speaking out after the restriction on non-essential travel at the U.S.-Mexico border was extended to Aug. 21. Travel restrictions were first put in place in March of 2020 to help stop the spread of COVID-19. They've remained in place despite California's reopening last month.
To decrease the spread of COVID-19, including the Delta variant, the United States is extending restrictions on non-essential travel at our land and ferry crossings with Canada and Mexico through August 21, while ensuring the continued flow of essential trade and travel.— Homeland Security (@DHSgov) July 21, 2021
