ELLINGTON/SOMERS, CT — Connecticut is among the top states for vaccinating its population against the coronavirus, but there is still wide variability in vaccination rates between towns.
Around 42 percent of Connecticut's total population is fully vaccinated; 57 percent have received at least one dose, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
In Ellington, 6,697 residents have been fully vaccinated as of May 5, which is about 41 percent of the total population — in total 54 percent of the town population has received at least one dose, according to DPH.
