When COVID-19 cut off Chris Neugebauer from his beloved schnitty dinner, he turned to his mate Dee Caldicott and a Mackay legend was born.
Mr Caldicott leapt at the chance to help out his friend and within hours, word had spread that a takeaway schnitzel was still possible despite restaurant and pub closure across the state.
So what started almost by accident has morphed into Mackay's newest restaurant that has a sassy edge to a simple recipe for success.
It has also defied a trend of business struggles during lockdown, and has instead thrived into its new dine in and takeaway outlet in the CBD.
