The Snowy Day (world premiere of a holiday opera by composer Joel Thompson and librettist Andrea Davis Pinkney, based on the children’s picture book by Ezra Jack Keats): Dec. 9-19

Romeo and Juliet (Gounod): Apr. 29-May 11
Casts conspicuously feature alumni of the company’s distinguished apprentice program, along with prominent singers including sopranos Christine Goerke and Anna Caterina Antonacci and baritone Rod Gilfry. Also of note, four of the six productions will be conducted by women, including Lidiya Yankovskaya, a former participant in the Dallas Opera’s Hart Institute for Women Conductors. The
