Housing project for Luyolo land claimants will be concluded in 2023, says City of Cape Town

The housing project for the Luyolo land claimants is expected to be completed in 2023.
The beneficiaries were forcibly removed from Simon's Town in the mid-1960s and relocated to Gugulethu.
The City of Cape Town says the project  is an example of redress and restitution.
The City of Cape Town says the housing project for the Luyolo land claimants, who were forcibly removed from Simon's Town in the mid-1960s, is expected to be completed in the latter part of 2023.
According to the City, the R170 million housing project is an example of redress and restitution, and of their commitment to building a better future for those who bore the brunt of apartheid policies.
