Severe thunderstorm warnings and watches are in effect in the D.C. area Wednesday, as wind and even hail batter the area and cause power outages.
A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for parts of Fairfax and Prince William counties in Virginia and Prince George's, Anne Arundel and Charles counties in Maryland.
