Friedlander and interpreter Virginia Moore announced the new hospital payment program.
With up to 28 rural Kentucky hospitals vulnerable to closure if their finance don't improve, Tuesday's announcement of a new payment model to increase the amount Kentucky's hospitals are paid for Medicaid patients is cause for their celebration.
"Improved reimbursement for Kentucky's hospitals is vital for their survival. Medicaid . . . does not cover the full cost of caring for the patients we serve," Nancy Galvagni, president of theÂ
