‘Khorfakkan’: Sharjah ruler's book set for big screen adaptation
The historical drama movie is set in the UAE coastal city in the early 16th century

'Khorfakkan' was shot on the shores and and within the ancient city.
The film features a big cast of young and seasoned Emirati actors.
'Khorfakkan' features battle scenes by local tribes against colonising Portuguese troops.
The film uses CGI green screens for some ocean set scenes.
The production crew of 'Khorfakkan' features a mix of local and international talent, lead by US and Irish directors Ben Mole and Maurice Sweeney.
