Hope and prayers: Vigil offers support for Warsaw man battling COVID-19

WARSAW — Todd MacConnell is known as a guy who just shows up, gets the job done, and always has a smile.
He’s long been active in a lot of roles — directing Wyoming County’s Information Technology department, serving as a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, and being an active part of Valley Chapel Free Methodist Church.
That’s why about 92 people attended a candlelight vigil for MacConnell on Tuesday evening, as he continues to battle COVID-19 at a Buffalo hospital.
He’s been battling the disease and its effects since November, said Lead Pastor Ryan Rovito of Valley Chapel.
