Restoration work on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus is on track with 95% of external facade job already over; project expected to get over by March 2022
Conservation and restoration work of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus’ (CSMT), a
UNESCO World Heritage Site, will now get completed by March 2022.
The restoration of 143-year-old building to make it regain its original glory had commenced back in July-August 2018.
“Some of the major works involves the replacement of rotten wooden beams, rafters, frames, shutters, and floorings to bring the heritage building back to its original glory,” said Shivaji
