Two-hundred and fifteen teddy bears circled Bear Park in a sea of orange Monday day during a ceremony to honour and pay respect to the 215 children whose remains were found on the property of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School last week.
The Tk’emlups te Secwepemc First Nation said the deaths are believed to be undocumented, with some children as young as three-years-old when they died. The B.C. school was once the largest in Canada’s residential school system.
