Hong Kong issued a Policy Statement on Data Governance proposing 18 action measures. The goal of the Policy Declaration is to grasp and strengthen the strategic role of data elements in driving social transformation and high-quality economic development. The Policy Statement outlines the HKSAR Government's concept of data governance at the macro level, and sets out specific actions to lay the foundation for promoting the high- quality development of Hong Kong's innovation and technology, digital economy and smart city. The policy statement proposes 5 specific actions and measures in five areas, including leading the digital government and optimizing data governance.
