Hong Kong: 74 COVID-19 cases detected
The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 74 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 70 are locally transmitted.
Twenty-five of the local cases have an unknown source of infection.
Yat Lai House at Yau Lai Estate in Yau Tong and Lam Tai House at Lam Tin Estate in Lam Tin both reported residents from three different units confirmed infected with COVID-19. The centre will distribute specimen collection bottles to the residents.
Among the new cases are two staff of Hong Kong Advanced Imaging in Mong Kok. They provided assistance to a patient who subsequently tested positive for the virus on December 7. Their close contacts and other staff who took care of the patient have to be sent for quarantine.
