On Thursday night, the Homer-Center School Board approved their Act 1 resolution concerning the 2021-2022 budget.
The resolution sets the the maximum tax increase that the board would consider at 4.3%, but the board will look at making sure that the budget contains no tax increases. As the board goes into budget season, Board Member Gerald Bertig said that one of his concerns is the fact that revenues remain the same, but costs continue to increase.
The board must pass the final budget by June 30th.
In other business, the members of the school board were honored as part of School Board Appreciation month. This included a video produced by the media production class thanking the members of the board for their services.
