HOLLAND — Holland Farmers Market will celebrate National Farmers Market Week on Eighth Street.
The week is organized by the Farmers Market Coalition, a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicating to strengthening markets across the nation — helping them serve as community assets while providing income opportunities for local farmers.
National Farmers Market Week celebrates the role markets play in preserving farmland, stimulating local economies, increasing access to nutritious food, supporting healthy communities and promoting sustainability.
“We’re excited to participate in National Farmers Market Week this year,” said marketing coordinator Kara de Alvare.
“After an especially challenging year, it’s great to have an opportunity to recognize the hard work of our farmers, vendors and staff, and to thank the community for their ongoing support. It’s been an amazing season at the market so far this year and we truly have a lot to celebrate.”
