HIV research: In search for a cure, Temple University researchers say new gene-editing strategy may be a game-changer

Scientists say HIV can be eliminated from the body by using a new gene-editing therapy that targets the virus and the molecule that allows it to invade cells. Researchers at Temple University and the University of Nebraska Medical Center combined that approach with antiretroviral drugs in a study on mice.
