Historic Programmes Up for Auction

Historic Ipswich Town programmes are to again go under the hammer later this month at Martlesham auctioneers Lockdales.
“They’ve gone for tip-top prices at previous auctions in our salerooms and competition is going to be hot for them again this time around,” said auction manager James Sadler.
Of particular interest is lot 1093 from Town’s home FA Cup first round tie with Western League side Street on November 26th 1938 which has a catalogue guide price of £40 to £50.
There will also be strong interest in lot 1094 at the May 20th auction, the programme from the August 1936 Southern League match at home to Tunbridge Wells Rangers, the Blues’ first game as a professional club. This has a guide price of £50 to £60.
