A native of Fryburg, Pa., U.S. Navy Adm. Craig Faller graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1983 with a bachelor of science in systems engineering. He was tapped by President Donald Trump in 2018 to receive a fourth star and lead the Southern Command, responsible for military operations in Latin America and the Caribbean. He assumed command of SOUTHCOM on Nov. 26, 2018.
