Pune is currently the second most affected city in India by COVID-19, after Delhi. On Saturday,
Pune district crossed the 12k mark for the third time and recorded the highest single day spike in cases since the start of the pandemic. The district recorded a total of 12,836 fresh cases on Saturday. The total COVID-19 positive cases till date are reported to be 7,09, 796 in the district. The
Pune Municipal Corporation recorded 6,006 new cases,
PCMC 2,982, Pune Rural 2,889, councils 770 and Cantonment 189, new cases. From the active cases in the district 25,642 are recovering in hospitals while 74,802 are in home isolation.
