The Green Forest Tigers beat Huntsville 5-0 on Thursday, March 4.
Senior Emerson Ortiz led the Tigers with two goals, while classmate Allen Deleon, junior Gabriel Holland and sophomore Elvin Montoya each scored one goal.
On Tuesday, March 2, Green Forest’s Kelvin Garcia scored a late goal as the Tigers tied Class 6A Mountain Home 1-1.
Green Forest’s girls are off to a 2-0 start after beating Mountain Home 6-2 and blanking Huntsville 7-0.
Kimberly Lopez scored two goals in the win over Mountain Home, and the Lady Tigers also got goals from Myndy Zamora, Emily Lozano, Blanca Galindo and Samantha Delavin.
