Coming off her first high school wrestling season, Northview freshman Varzidy Batchelor was one of nine Knights to take part in the Freshman-Sophomore State Qualifier Match at Evansville Mater Dei.
Along with teammates Tommy Gilliam and Dalton Simmons, Batchelor was crowned the champion of her weight class and advanced to the Freshman-Sophomore State Finals on Feb. 27 and 28.
