In Albany, the Damien Center has partnered with Leadership Tech Valley to create a new garden to provide healthy produce for individuals living with HIV/AIDs. The Damien Center is a resource center that provides critical housing and services to improve health, reduce stress and increase the quality of life for individuals suffering from HIV/AIDS and that provides support for their families. The Capital Roots Community Garden not only features a produce garden, but also a reflection area and flower garden for members to mourn the loss of loved ones.
