The High Court will hold an inquiry to establish if the detention of a woman in hotel quarantine is lawful.
Inbar Aviezer is taking a case against the State claiming she's being unlawfully held at one of the facilities.
Ms Aviezer is currently in quarantine at the Holiday Inn at Dublin Airport since Wednesday after arriving on a flight from Israel.
Her lawyers say she is fully vaccinated and has presented two negative PCR COVID-19 tests.
They argue she is being held unlawfully under Article 40 of the Constitution.
In court today, Justice Senan Allen directed an inquiry to take place to establish if that is the case.
