Brazilian waterways logistics company Hidrovias do Brasil said Monday that it agreed to buy the South American shipping assets of South African-listed Imperial for up to $90 million.
According to the terms of the deal, Hidrovias signed on to buy 100% of two Imperial subsidiaries – Imperial Shipping in Paraguay and Dutch-based Imperial South America – as well as Imperial's 50% stake in the Baden joint venture with local infrastructure company CIE.
