TRUSSVILLE — One local middle school student is headed to space camp.
Parker Lybrand, a 7th-grade student at Hewitt Trussville Middle School, was recently selected as a full scholarship recipient to attend Space Camp at the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville.
The Space Academy for Leading Students in Alabama (SALSA) is a program funded by the State of Alabama Legislature that awards one male and one female student from every legislative district in Alabama a full scholarship to attend the week-long Space Academy.
