A Hertfordshire police officer sent an inappropriate sexual message to a teenager on Snapchat after she was dismissed as a suspect in a case he was investigating, a misconduct hearing heard.
PC Mohamed Huzair was found to have “seriously breached the trust placed in him” after meeting the 18-year-old woman when he was looking into a car theft last year.
Huzair dealt with her as a suspect, although matters were later dropped.
But Huzair continued inappropriate sexual contact with the teenager through Snapchat on his personal phone, the hearing was told.
He had also met up with her whilst on duty as a police officer for a non-policing purpose.
