Vegetable gardening in Florida is different from the other states in the contiguous United States.

How to grow sweet potatoes
Sweet potatoes can be planted in the garden, here in central Florida, from February through June, so you still have time to order some plants. Recommended cultivars include Vardaman, Beauregard and Centennial.
