Here's what to plant in hour Space Coast vegetable garden this summer

Vegetable gardening in Florida is different from the other states in the contiguous United States. 
In the other states, planting begins in the spring and ends in the fall In Florida, we do the opposite. 
Most of our vegetables are planted in August through May, with the notable exception of pumpkins, which are planted in mid-July.  If the heat doesn’t bother you and you want to continue vegetable gardening through the summer, check out the plants that you can plant now.
How to grow sweet potatoes
Sweet potatoes can be planted in the garden, here in central Florida, from February through June, so you still have time to order some plants.  Recommended cultivars include Vardaman, Beauregard and Centennial.
