She said she decided to take Pfizer shot after consulting with a science expert.
“He explained that the science behind this has been being researched for many years,” the Houma resident said. “I took it more so out of my concern for working with patients who have a much smaller chance of survival than I do. I care about them, and I will do everything in my power to protect them.
"I would feel awful if I didn’t take it, got the virus then gave it to one of them and they died. I would feel guilty the rest of my life. I don’t want to live with that. I trust the science behind it. It’s been more than a month since I completed mine and I have been fine.”
