Road safety has become a pressing issue in Goa, as the number of fatalities and casualties due to road accidents continues to rise. The reasons for such accidents are manifold, including reckless driving, drunk driving, poor road conditions, and lack of awareness about traffic rules and regulations. While the government has taken some measures to address these issues, such as promoting the use of helmets and seat belts and cracking down on drunk driving, much more needs to be done to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians alike. In this week’s edition of Herald TV’s debate ‘Point-Counterpoint’,
Sujay Gupta delves into the details with law enforcers and activists, to discuss measures that
could be taken to prevent further tragedies on Goa's roads.
