Henry County Conservation is hosting an event at Oakland Mills County Park this Tuesday for wine and moon enthusiasts.
Conservation Naturalist Cari Nicely says participants ages 21 or older are asked to bring a bottle of wine to share for a tasting event on the decks of their new Imogene and George cabins for their “Wine About the Moon Phases” program starting at 6:30 p.m. She says additional outdoor activities will be dependent on the weather, “We are planning on walking outside, doing a little moonlight stroll, and that is something our public here in Henry County asked for about a year ago is they wanted more hikes. So, let’s combine wine and hiking and the full moon. That’s where the baby for this whole activity started.”
