Hecla Greens Creek Mine penalized $143,000 for hazardous waste management violations

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Hecla Greens Creek Mine on Admiralty Island has agreed to pay a $143,000 fine for violating federal hazardous waste management and disposal requirements, according to a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announcement made Wednesday.
