Heavy rain alert in effect in northern Taiwan

Taipei, Nov. 2 (CNA) The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) has warned people in northern Taiwan of continuing heavy precipitation Wednesday as moisture remained in the atmosphere despite the weakening of seasonal northeasterly winds.
