SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo and Tom Green County officials Wednesday confirmed a spike in Covid-19 infections and hospitalizations following the Christmas holiday.
San Angelo Mayor Brenda Gunter and Tom Green County Judge Steve Floyd held a media conference Wednesday afternoon. Judge Floyd referred to the increase in the daily numbers over the last three days as a 'spike.'
Mayor Gunter said San Angeloans did well over the Thanksgiving holiday and may have let their guard down over Christmas. The mayor asked citizens to reconsider New Year's Eve party plans and follow the CDC guidelines to avoid another spike.
