Starting Thursday, guests entering Universal Orlando will not have to get their temperature checked.
Walt Disney World said it will phase out temperature checks starting May 8 for cast members and on May 16 for guests.
When the parks reopened during the pandemic, they required temperature checks for entry. Guests could not have a temperature above 100.4 degrees.
Universal Orlando also announced it is implementing 3 feet of social distancing throughout its theme parks and resorts. It was 6 feet.
“This allows them as they manage the lines and other things for those outdoor types of settings and even indoors,” said Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings. “They are able to increase capacity as a result of that.”
