HC upholds scrapping of 70:30 system of regional reservation for medical admissions in Maharashtra
The court observed that the concept of regional reservations is against the NEET, which is based on the concept of 'One Nation One Examination" and aims at providing admissions to students on merit only, and hence, the state's decision is valid.

The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court has recently held that the Amended Rules-2020 implemented by the Maharashtra government on September 7, which did away with regional reservations for admissions to undergraduate courses in medical studies, is valid.
